• RAC Benelux benoemt nieuwe voorzitter

  Mathieu Vaandrager, managing director van C2, is unaniem gekozen tot de nieuwe voorzitter van het RAC Benelux (Regional Advisory Committee).

  Dit comité van aanbeveling op het gebied van Rope Access heeft alleen bedrijfsleden, welke zijn aangesloten bij de IRATA (de Industrial Rope Access Trade Association). Mathieu Vaandrager volgt Jeroen Offermans van het bedrijf Ascent Safety BV op.

  Om het werken op hoogte met behulp van de Rope Access klimtechniek zo veilig mogelijk uit te kunnen (blijven) voeren, komt het comité (RAC) een aantal malen per jaar bijeen om veiligheidszaken uit de praktijk te bespreken en eventuele aanbevelingen te doen aan het IRATA hoofdkantoor, zodat de richtlijnen hierop worden aangepast.

• Meer Eddy Current mogelijkheden bij Crane Inspection Services B.V.

  Om aan de vraag uit de markt te kunnen voldoen heeft Crane Inspection Services B.V./2 Go Access een aantal personeelsleden een cursus laten volgen op het gebied van Eddy Current (Wervelstroom).

  C2 leverde al werkzaamheden op het gebied van Eddy Current af, maar heeft door de schaalvergroting nu ook de mogelijkheden om TCVT en alle andere kraaninspecties te combineren met een Eddy Current inspectie.

  Annual inspections performed of the 30T & 250T.

  Both cranes are installed on the TOISA PERSEUS which was located in Abu Dhabi during the inspection.
  

 

• Maersk Drilling

  For the installation of the new supporting for the cement line the insulation on the roof of the engine roof was temporary removed by the use of the Rope Access technique. During the welding activities fire watch activities where performed by Rope Access Technicians.
  

 

• Total E&P Nederland B.V.

  After load testing of the life boat structures and offshore cranes, Eddy Current inspections (NDT) was performed on all welds of the primary structure. Due to the various inaccessible locations of the structures the inspection was performed by the use of Rope Access.

  Final Fixation Conductor pipe- K1A
  
  Final fixation of the conductor pipe with centralizers at main deck and spider deck level by the use of rope access as rigging.

  - Replacement of damaged tile, located on the fifth row from the top.
  - Re-arrangement of piece of lead, located on the far end side of the roof.

  By the use of rope access as rigging:
  - Secure a conductor pipe at main deck & spider deck
  - Fixation of the conductor pipe at the main deck level
  - Fixation at spider deck level by the use of tirfors

  Eddy Current and TCVT crane inspection- Centrica-Windermere
  
  DHC 6/1300 Offshore Crane were inspected using Close Visual and Eddy Current Inspection techniques and rope access.

  Inspection BOP crane & pipe handling- Hans Deul
  
  Inspection of varios parts of the BOP overhead crane were inspected by the use of rope access.
