RAC Benelux appoints Mathieu Vaandrager as the new chairman

Mr. Mathieu Vaandrager, who is the managing director of C2, was unanimously elected as the new chairman of the RAC Benelux (Regional Advisory Committee). This Identification Committee in Rope Access consists only of qualified IRATA company members (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association).

To continue rope access work as safely as possible, the RAC meets several times a year to discuss any safety issues that may arise in the industry. If required, they then send any recommendations on to the IRATA headquarters, so that the guidelines can be adjusted.

Mr. Mathieu Vaandrager succeeds Jeroen Offermans of the company Ascent Safety BV.

More Eddy Current opportunities at Crane Inspection Services B.V.

To meet the demand of the market, Crane Inspection Services B.V. and 2 Go Access, have trained a number of their staff in Eddy Current inspection.

C2 previously provided Eddy Current inspection, but this expansion gives us the opportunity to combine the TCVT (and all other crane inspections), with Eddy Current inspection.

Both cranes are installed on the TOISA PERSEUS which was located in Abu Dhabi during the inspection.

For the installation of the new supporting for the cement line the insulation on the roof of the engine roof was temporary removed by the use of the Rope Access technique. During the welding activities fire watch activities where performed by Rope Access Technicians.

After load testing of the life boat structures and offshore cranes, Eddy Current inspections (NDT) was performed on all welds of the primary structure. Due to the various inaccessible locations of the structures the inspection was performed by the use of Rope Access.

Final Fixation Conductor pipe- K1A

Final fixation of the conductor pipe with centralizers at main deck and spider deck level by the use of rope access as rigging.
